Oak Framed Annexe

Versatile Additional Living Space

An oak framed annexe offers a transformative solution for expanding your property. Whether you require a professional home office, a private gym, an artist’s studio, or supplementary accommodation, these structures provide endless possibilities.

Designed to blend seamlessly with your existing property, an annexe serves as a private haven just a stone's throw from your main door.

A house with wooden siding and large glass windows, an open door leading to a cozy living room with outdoor furniture, and potted plants on a stone patio, surrounded by trees and a manicured lawn.

HOW WE CAN HELP

The James Alexander Process

Bespoke Design & Planning Service

  • The "Wish List" Approach: We start by discussing your specific requirements to understand exactly how you intend to use the space.

  • Seamless Aesthetics: We develop a design that reflects the elements you love about your current home, ensuring the new structure fits your personal aesthetic.

  • Technical Compliance: Our designs are carefully developed to navigate and encompass any local planning requirements.

The Caravan Act

We can utilise the Caravan Act to obtain permission to build depending on the design and best achievable outcome. There are three tests that a mobile home must pass to comply with the Act;

  • Maximum dimensions

  • Method of construction

  • Transportability

Our annexes can be built to achieve these criteria, meaning that permission to build your annexe will be achieved one way or another. Your LPA will issue a Certificate of Lawfulness (COL) should there be no objections.
