Our Story

James Alexander Oak Buildings is a small, family-run business based in Somerset, providing services across the south of England. The company was founded by Alex and Dee after Alex spent over 20 years as a director for some of the UK's largest timber building suppliers. We decided to launch our own business to shift the focus back to the customer journey, ensuring a more personal experience.

Our Philosophy

We believe that customer focus, aesthetic proportions, and a high-quality product are the keys to our success. Unlike larger competitors, we only undertake a select few projects a month. This intentional approach allows us to truly focus on customer service and give every build the attention it deserves.

The Team

We are supported by a dedicated team of skilled people, all of whom Alex & Dee have known for many years. While the team works on your project, Dee runs the office, with our dogs keeping a close eye on all our operations.
